Accredited Supplier Database & How to become a Supplier
Overview
Laingsburg Municipality has decided to accept an invitation from National Treasury to join the Centralised Supplier Database (CSD) with the view of using one centralized database. This decision was taken based on the advantages it holds for our suppliers as well as our organization’s procurement processes. All prospective providers of municipal goods and/or services are hereby requested to register their business with the CSD.

Becoming a Supplier
Registration on the CSD is at no cost for a supplier.
Registration will be compulsory in order to conduct business with Laingsburg Municipality. The database will be used to verify the accreditation of a supplier before an award can be made.
Registration is a paperless process: - The CSD will automatically validate the following registration documents (after registration)
- Confirmation and status of Business Registration Documents (CPIC)
- Proof of Bank Account Registration
- Tax compliance status (TAX Clearance)
Identify employees in the service of state as defined in the regulations with information available in the PERSAL system at this time, namely National and Provincial officials
- Identity Documentation
- Tender defaulters and restrictions status
The following aspects are work-in-progress and further information will be provided once systems have been upgraded. Municipalities are required to continue with the current and existing process on;
- BBBEE Status
- CIDB
- Municipal Account status
